The Interboro Community Band is promoting its final concert of its season next week.

If weather allows, the band will perform on the lawn at the Willows retirement community in Westborough, 1 Lyman Street. According to organizers:

The band has been performing at the Willows for many years, although it is now so large, the Willows has had to rent extra chairs to accommodate this highly-accomplished 70 member adult group.

In the case of rain, the event will be relocated to Westborough High School’s auditorium.

The performance is Wednesday, June 17th at 7:00 pm. As always, the community is invited to enjoy their show for free:

The program will include all the crowd favorites, including many “flavors” of marches as well as tributes to veterans of the various armed services.

The event is “generously Supported by The Willows, Westborough and Southborough Arts Councils, and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.”

The band was originally launched decades ago as a Northborough-Southborough partnership, expanded to include Westborough, then relocated to be based out of Westborough. It still includes and welcomes adults from Southborough and neighboring towns.

For the past ten years, it has been led by Music Director Matt Lefebvre. They describe themselves as “A fun, low-stress community band for people who have lives and jobs.”
