Pajama Story Time starts Wednesday night at the library

The Southborough Library will hold its first Pajama Story Time of the summer tomorrow starting at 7:00 pm.

Southborough DPW equipment to be sold at public auction on June 30

A collection of surplus equipment from Southborough’s Department of Public Works will hit the auction block later this week. DPW Superintendent Karen Galligan said the equipment, which includes several vehicles and lawn mowers, is no longer used.

Superintendent to form committee to evaluate school building needs

The question of whether Southborough needs fours schools or whether it could get away with three has been an ongoing debate for several years now. The School Committee has looked into the issue in the past, but Superintendent Charles Gobron said at a meeting earlier this month he plans to form a new committee dedicated to evaluating Southborough’s school housing needs.

Eleonora F. Burke, 99, an attorney at law, of South Kingstown, R.I., since 1999, and formerly of Southborough, died Friday, June 22, 2012. She was the wife of the late Philip W. Burke.
