Will mosquitoes take a bite out of Summer Nights?

The Central Mass Mosquito Control Project announced today that a mosquito infected with the West Nile virus has been found in Northborough. Earlier this month mosquitoes were detected in Shrewsbury with West Nile and in Westborough with the Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) virus.

Massachusetts will hold its state primary election on September 6. If you want to cast your ballot, and you’re not already registered to vote, you’ll need to do so no later than Friday, August 17. Friday is also the deadline for changing your party affiliation.

Many of you were caught in a traffic mess last night when a spetic truck overturned on Route 9, but the real mess was the tank’s leaking contents. The Metrowest Daily News reports raw sewage made its way into drains that lead to wetlands.
