Southborough police logs (2/8/13 – 2/13/13): Home and vehicle break-ins, minor school bus accident

A home on Richards Road was burglarized earlier this week. The homeowner reported a side door was kicked in sometime during the day on Monday and jewelry was missing from the home. On Wednesday two vehicles were broken into on Moulton and Southville Roads. The detective unit is investigating all three incidents.

Also on Wednesday police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Cordaville Road by Woodward School that involved a school bus. No injuries were reported at the scene.

  • 1448 hrs- Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 1625 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at an East Main Street business.
  • 1705 hrs- A medical was reported at an Oregon Road residence.
  • 1803 hrs- An officer provided a civilian transport to 3 individuals who were walking on Route 9.
  • 1848 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 1953 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Northboro Road business.
  • 2033 hrs- Officers assisted two youths with a civilian transport to their residence on Cordaville Road.
  • 2104 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 2118 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Boston Road.
  • 2120 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at Neary Elementary School.
  • 2154 hrs- Officers responded with the Southborough Fire Department for a vehicle on fire in the parking lot of a Cordaville Road business. The fire was extinguished by SFD.
  • 2226 hrs- A medical was reported at a Cordaville Road business.

  • 0028 hrs- Officers investigated a noise complaint at a Parkerville Road residence.
  • 0059 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Carriage Hill Circle residence.
  • 0103 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Boston Road business.
  • 1159 hrs- Officers responded to a Bryden Road residence for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in a resident’s driveway. The vehicle left the area prior to the officer s arriving to the scene.
  • 1239 hrs- Officers responded to a Southville Road residence for a possible restraining order violation.
  • 1256 hrs- A medical was reported at a Coslin Drive business.
  • 1257 hrs- The manager of a Turnpike Road business requested police to respond to the business after finding drug paraphernalia at the business. The paraphernalia was confiscated, and a follow-up investigation will be conducted.
  • 1457 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 1637 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Main Street business.
  • 1708 hrs- Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Cordaville Road. No injuries were reported from the scene.
  • 1730 hrs- Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Brigham Street. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 1739 hrs- A resident spoke with an officer about a probation issue.
  • 1803 hrs- An officer on patrol found a wallet (on the ground) at the end of Willow Street. The wallet was logged as “found property”, and dispatch made attempts to contact the owner of the wallet.
  • 2020 hrs- A resident of Rock Spring Drive found a lost dog (registered out of Westborough). The Animal Control Officer was notified, and the owner was contacted.
  • 2221 hrs- A medical was reported at a Fisher Road residence.

  • 0107 hrs- Officers assisted Ashland Police with a motor vehicle accident on Oak Street in their town (near the Southborough town line).
  • 0647 hrs- A medical was reported at a Cordaville Road residence.
  • 0938 hrs- Officers investigated at a burglar alarm at an East Main Street business.
  • 1002 hrs- Officers conducted a requested well-being check on a Walnut Drive resident.
  • 1019 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Beechwood Lane residence.
  • 1320 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Fairview Drive residence.
  • 1520 hrs- Officers returned to the same Fairview Drive residence to investigate another burglar alarm there.
  • 1606 hrs- A Stowe Road requested to speak to an officer regarding a neighbor dispute.
  • 1848 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 1929 hrs- A medical was reported at a Maplecrest Drive residence.

  • 0646 hrs- An officer responded to a Cordaville Road business to investigate a parking complaint.
  • 0735 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 1030 hrs- A motorist reported a small, terrier (dog) running through the Red Gate Lane neighborhood. The Animal Control Officer was notified.
  • 1058 hrs- Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Pine Hill Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 1544 hrs- A requested well-being check was conducted on a Clifford Road resident.
  • 1551 hrs- A resident of Richards Road reported that their home had been burglarized at some point during the day. The side door to the residence was kicked in, and the resident reported that some jewelry was missing from the residence. The detective unit is investigating the break-in at this time.   • 2225 hrs- Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident involving a tractor trailer unit on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.

  • 0018 hrs- Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Acre Bridge Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 0027 hrs- Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Kidder Lane. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 0634 hrs- The DPW was called out to address slippery road and parking lot conditions.
  • 0700 hrs- Officers investigated a report of a possible road rage on Parkerville Road. The responding officer spoke with both parties, and both were calmed down. No crime was committed during the encounter.
  • 0709 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 0825 hrs- Officers assisted a motor vehicle stuck in the snow on Marlboro Road.
  • 1138 hrs- Officers assisted a motor vehicle stuck in the snow on Highland Street.
  • 1343 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Wyndemere Drive residence.
  • 1734 hrs- Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 1809 hrs- Officers responded to a Cordaville Road business for a report of a two suspicious vehicles parked behind the business. The responding officer spoke with both operators, and both of them checked out ok.
  • 1927 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at an Admirals Lane residence.
  • 1954 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Wolfpen Lane residence.
  • 2148 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 2321 hrs- Officers responded to Carolyn Terrace for a report of a suspicious white pick-up truck that had just left the area. The reporting party stated that the vehicle was parked with the engine running, and left the area when the RP came out to walk their dog. Officers checked the area, but the vehicle was nowhere to be found.

  • 0009 hrs- Officers responded to Cordaville Road for a suspicious person walking the road dressed entirely in black. The individual checked out ok, and was provided a civilian transport home (for their own safety).
  • 0054 hrs- The DPW was called out due to the roadways icing over.
  • 0416 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled plow truck on Turnpike Road.
  • 0644 hrs- A resident of Moulton Road reported that someone had entered her unlocked vehicle during the night, and removed two change purses from the vehicle. A report was filed and the detective unit will be investigating.
  • 0730 hrs- Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 0836 hrs- Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Cordaville Road. The accident involved a school bus in front of Woodward school, and no injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 0940 hrs- Officers investigated a report of a B & E to a motor vehicle on Southville Road. A small number of items were taken from the vehicle, and a report was filed on the incident. The detective unit will be investigating the B & E.
  • 1256 hrs- Officers investigated a report of solicitors in the area of Sears Road.
  • 1259 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Willow Street business.
  • 1528 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 1543 hrs- An officer responded to a Pinecone Lane residence to take a report of a suspicious phone call.
  • 1606 hrs- Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Newton Street business.
  • 1628 hrs- Officers assisted a Breakneck Hill Road resident with a domestic issue.
  • 1820 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Deerfoot Road residence.
