Southborough run to benefit marathon victims – Sunday, April 28

St. Mark’s School invites Southborough residents to join them on Sunday for a run to benefit victims of last week’s Boston Marathon bombings. Donations will be accepted, and all proceeds will go to the The One Fund established by Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Tom Menino.

Superintendent: Support staff available as school reopens today

After a week of vacation, today marks the first day back in class for Southborough students following the bombing at the Boston Marathon one week ago today. In a message sent to parents yesterday, Superintendent Charles Gobron said his staff is ready to help any students who might need it.

Southborough emergency response group to conduct training around reservoir this weekend

If you notice emergency vehicles and lots of activity near the reservoir this weekend, don’t panic. On Saturday and Sunday, the Southborough Community Emergency Response Team and Medical Reserve Corp (Southborough CERT/MRC) will conduct training in the wooded area along Framingham Road across from East Main Street.
