Southborough emergency response group to conduct training around reservoir this weekend

If you notice emergency vehicles and lots of activity near the reservoir this weekend, don’t panic. On Saturday and Sunday, the Southborough Community Emergency Response Team and Medical Reserve Corp (Southborough CERT/MRC) will conduct training in the wooded area along Framingham Road across from East Main Street.

The outdoor portion of the training, which focuses on wide area search and rescue, is expected to take place on Saturday afternoon and all day on Sunday. Training will also be conducted at the Southborough Fire Department on Saturday morning.

In a press release, CERT/MRC said the goal of the training is to assist in missing persons and criminal evidence identification during local incidents, as well as to be available to assist other agencies statewide.
