Southborough police logs (5/25/13 – 5/29/13): Break-ins and copper theft

As previously reported, Southborough police responded to break-ins at a Burnett Road residence and a Turnpike Road business last week. Police are also investigating the theft on Wednesday of copper bands from two stone pillars at the entrance to the Vickery Hills neighborhood.

  • 0013 hrs- An officer on patrol checked on a suspicious motor vehicle parked on River Street. The operator and the vehicle both checked out ok.
  • 0259 hrs- Officers investigated a noise complaint at a Stockwell Lane residence.
  • 0600 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at Trottier Middle School.
  • 0704 hrs- Officers investigated a report of a bicyclist traveling westbound in the eastbound lane of Route 9. Officers located the bicyclist and gave the individual a civilian transport into Westborough.
  • 1040 hrs- An officer took a credit card fraud report from a resident of Pine Hill Road.
  • 1052 hrs- An officer took a report of a possible burglary attempt to a residence on Leonard Drive.
  • 1124 hrs- Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 1710 hrs- A motorist reported the lights at Turnpike Road and Crystal Pond Road were not functioning. Mass Highway was notified of the report.
  • 1738 hrs- Officers investigated a report of an erratic operator on Cordaville Road. The responding officer reported back that the vehicle had left the area.
  • 1751 hrs- Officers responded to a Boston Road residence for a domestic argument in progress. The argument was determined to be verbal in nature, and officers left the scene after peace was restored.
  • 1919 hrs- Officers investigated a report of a suspicious motor vehicle parked on Overlook Drive. The operator and the vehicle were located, and both checked out ok.
  • 2038 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Cordaville Road business.

  • 0139 hrs- ARRESTED: A Framingham man was arrested and charged with OUI Alcohol and Marked Lanes violation. He was also issued a civil citation for possession of marijuana.
  • 0414 hrs- ARRESTED: A Saratoga Springs, NY woman was charged with OUI Alcohol and Speeding.
  • 0931 hrs- A medical was reported at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 1634 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Johnson Road.
  • 1956 hrs- Officers responded to a Middle Road residence to remove an unwanted party from the residence.
  • 2209 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 2322 hrs- A medical was reported at the St. Mark’s School.
  • 2358 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a General Henry Knox Road residence.

  • 1109 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 1335 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Northboro Road business.
  • 1349 hrs- Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Cordaville Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 1419 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Nipmuc Lane residence.

Monday, May 27, 2013

  • 0120 hrs- A medical was reported at a Boston Road residence.
  • 1335 hrs- A resident of Fisher Road reported that their teenage son was missing. The male juvenile was later located at school.
  • 1416 hrs- Officers investigated a parking complaint on Oak Hill Road.
  • 1432 hrs- A resident of School Street reported solicitors in the area. The responding officer reported back that the solicitors had left the area.
  • 1500 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Valley Road residence.
  • 1712 hrs- A motorist from Hudson, MA was issued a Criminal Application for Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Revoked Registration and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
  • 1728 hrs- Officers responded to a Turnpike Road business to investigate a burglar alarm. Upon their arrival, it was confirmed that a B&E had taken place at the business. The detective unit is currently investigating the break-in.
  • 2025 hrs- A medical was reported at a Parkerville Road residence.
  • 2356 hrs- Officers responded to Turnpike Road for a report of an erratic operator. The vehicle had left the area prior to the officers arriving on scene.

Tuesday, May 28, 2013

  • 0111 hrs- ARRESTED: A Garrison Lane resident was charged with OUI Alcohol; Marked Lanes Violation; and Speeding.
  • 0729 hrs- Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Framingham Road. Injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 0948 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 1244 hrs- Officers responded to a Burnett Road residence to investigate a burglar alarm. The responding officers reported back that there was a B&E to the residence. The homeowner was notified and responded to the scene. Various items were taken from the residence, after the suspect(s) gained entry through the front door by using force.   • 1523 hrs- Officers investigated a report of solicitors in the area of Parkerville Road.
  • 1623 hrs- Officers investigated a report of solicitors on Pine Hill Road. The solicitors were located and advised that they needed to register at the police station.
  • 1956 hrs- A requested well-being check was conducted on a View Hill Road resident.

  • 0305 hrs- Officers responded to Parkerville Road for a report of a loud “explosion” type of noise in the area. After an extensive check of the area, the responding officers reported back no sign of a disturbance.
  • 0528 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 1035 hrs- An officer took a larceny over $250 report from property owners on Vickery Hill Lane. Copper bands on two stone pillars were taken from the entrance way to the property.
  • 1042 hrs- Officers investigated a report of a suspicious person walking on Marlboro Road. The male party was located and checked out ok.
  • 1100 hrs- Officers investigated a report of a motor vehicle accident at a Turnpike Road business. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 1245 hrs- Officers investigated a report of a suspicious person walking on Parkerville Road. The male party had left the area prior to officers arriving on scene.
  • 1329 hrs- A resident of Overlook Drive reported a cable wire hanging down into the roadway. Verizon was contacted and advised that they would be responding to fix the wire.
  • 1502 hrs- Officers investigated a report of solicitors in the area of Southville Road.
  • 1715 hrs- A medical was reported at a Mitchell Street residence.
  • 1916 hrs- A motorist from Medford, MA was issued a Criminal Application for Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License.
  • 2031 hrs- A medical was reported at a Cordaville Road residence.
