Church youth group holds a bake sale for a mission this Saturday

This Saturday you can buy a cookie and win a prize when you drop off your trash.  (Just remember to clean your hands!)

June 8 from 10-12 at the Transfer Station, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church Youth group will be holding a raffle and peanut free bake sale.  The event is “weather permitting”.  So, let’s hope the forecasted break in the rain works out for them.

Proceeds from this event are for a great cause:

The Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church Youth group will be partnering with the non-profit organization Youthworks to do a service project in Rutland, Vermont this July.

There will be approximately eighty youth from all over the country participating in this mission trip. Youth will work to help clean up local parks, and participate in trail beautification.

Money raised will help cover the cost of participation in this event and travel to and from this mission project.

I don’t know what goodies they have in store for us, but thinking about it makes me hungry. I might just have to take over trash duty from my husband this weekend.  (Don’t tell him why.)
