Obituary: Robert H. “Perk” Perkins, 81

Robert H. “Perk” Perkins 81, of Southborough, died on Sunday, December 1, 2013 after a period of declining health at Southeastern Rehab and Nursing Center in North Easton. Perk was a beloved husband, devoted father, doting Papa.

He was the husband of the late Joanne (Guzzi) Perkins who passed away in 2009.

Perk was a graduate of Newton High School and earned his bachelor degree at Boston University. He was an US army veteran serving during the Korean War. He worked for Prudential Insurance as a Senior Adjuster until he retired in 2005. Perk was a charter member and King Lion of the Southborough Lions Club; retired Rooster of the Jaycees and a member of St. Anne Church of Southborough. He also enjoyed flea markets, golfing and fishing. 

He is survived by his children, Christopher Perkins and his wife Cynthia of Bellingham; Michele Rogers and her husband Scott of Mansfield; two brothers George Perkins and his wife Joyce of VA; Arthur Perkins and his wife Donnie of Newburyport; six grandchildren, Daniel, Sean and Megan Perkins and Matthew, Patrick and Samantha Rogers and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, December . 4, from 4 to 7 PM at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St. Rte 30, Southborough.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 5, at 11 AM at St. Anne Church, 20 Boston Road, Southborough. Burial will follow in the Southborough Rural Cemetery.
