Weekend at a Glance: Noodle Night, teen Bollywood night, princess sing-a-long, a cappella, and skating

It’s been a while since we’ve had enough going on in town over the weekend to deserve a reminder. But this weekend has a lot to offer.

So, here is a reminder of what’s happening around town.

Friday, January 30, 2015

  • Neary Noodle Night (Choice of 3 shifts, with time range 5:00 pm – 8:30 pm) @ Neary School: Neary SOS Fundraiser. Today (1/26) is registration deadline. For more details, see dedicated post.
  • Free Teen Movie night – Bollywood Movie (6:00 – 10:00 pm) @ Fay School Theater: Fay is hosting the Southborough Library’s Free Teen Movie Night Bring your friends and enjoy ABCD: Any Body Can Dance- a Bollywood movie at Fay School’s Theater with a huge screen. Please park on Middle Road behind the Fay School Theater. For more details, see dedicated post.
  • Wick Choral Festival (7:00 – 9:00 pm) @ St. Mark’s School, Class of ’45 Hall: The Wick Festival is an annual celebration of music that features the talents of local high school a cappella ensembles. Parking will be available in the Southborough Library parking lot located at the corner of route 85 and 30. A shuttle will take you to and from the Putnam Family Arts Center. For more details, see dedicated post.

  • Pinewood Derby (8:00 am – 3:00 pm) @ Pilgrim Church: Pre-registered Cub Scouts and siblings compete to see who built the fastest Pinewood Derby cars this year. 8:00 am – 10:30 am Pack 1 competes. 11:00 am – 2:00 pm Pack 926 competes. 2:30-3:00 the top 3 cars from each pack compete in the town final.
  • Frozen Sing-A-Long (2:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: Princess Party Pals will be at the Library with stories and singing for children of all ages! Bring your camera for special photos with the princesses. Registration for this program is not required. (Expect to see Princess Anna there. She’ll also bring along her princess pal, Belle from Beauty and the Beast, to help with the fun.)
  • Skate Party for St. Jude’s (6:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Roller Kingdom, Hudson: Fundraiser for St. Jude’s Hospital co-run by a Southborough family. The party will include skating, games, races, karaoke, and a 50/50 raffle. For more details, see dedicated post.
