Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 16, 2017

  • Town offices, Library and public school closed
  • Free Skate at St. Mark’s (1:00 – 1:50 pm) @ Gardener Rink, Michel Faculty Athletic Center, St. Mark’s School: St. Mark’s School rink will be open to Southborough residents for skating. No skate rentals – so bring your own equipment. See dedicated post for details

  • No Public School: Professional Development Day
  • Sing-a-Long with Nancy Gage (11:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Come join the talented Nancy Gage in a piano sing-a-long. Enjoy the sessions with many senior center members exercising your vocal cords and enjoying the group songs! No experience necessary—just a lot of fun! No Charge
  • Adult Coloring for seniors (1:00 – 2:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Come enjoy a stress free activity that relaxes the brain and allows your mind to get the rest it needs. Adult Coloring Books will make your life a whole lot brighter. All supplies will be supplied by the senior center. Please call the senior center at 508-229-4453 or stop by the front desk to sign up

  • Legos at the Library (3:45 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: Stop by the library anytime during the day for some Lego building fun! Legos will be provided but need to remain at the library.

  • Exciting Women’s Circle (10:30 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: Senior Center’s social circle for ladies. New members are always welcome. This session’s discussion topic: New Year Resolutions.
  • Valentine Earrings Workshop (3:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Southborough Public Library, Main Floor: Create beaded earrings that you can wear or give as gifts for Valentine’s Day. Limited to first 15 participants, first come/first served. For ages 12 and over.

  • Into the Woods Jr (7:00 pm) @ Trottier Middle School: Trottier Middle School Drama production. Tickets are $8 each. See dedicated post for details.

  • Police & Fire Station Tours (9:00 am – 1:00 pm) @ 21 Main Street: The emergency response stations will be open for tours to the public so that residents can see the current working conditions. Members of the Public Safety Study Committee will also be on hand to answer questions about the new proposed facility forthcoming at the Special Town Meeting.
  • Deck the Hall with Craig (11:00 am – 3:00 pm) @ Hall of Comics, 3 Turnpike Road: (Rescheduled from December 17th.) Comic book artist Craig Rousseau. Rousseau will be doing sketches on request in exchange for $25 worth of donations to Pathways Family Shelter: Donations should be new, unopened domestic items and/or gift cards.   • Into the Woods Jr (3:00 pm) @ Trottier Middle School: Trottier Middle School Drama production. Tickets are $8 each. See dedicated post for details
