  • Public Safety Building Open Forum (7:00 pm) @ Woodward School cafeteria: The Public Safety Study Committee will hold an information session for all residents about the upcoming proposed Town Meeting warrant articles to construct a new Public Safety Facility for the Police and Fire Departments. The focus of this session will be to answer any questions from the public about the proposed building project.

  • Algonquin Principal Search Committee Community Forum (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School, auditorium, Northborough: The committee is offering an opportunity for the community to exchange its thoughts about the educational leadership experiences and attributes of the new school principal.   • Tourists of the Rainforest (4:00 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: A 4-week program by Let’s Gogh Art. Children can learn about the rainforest as they create colorful art projects. This program is for children ages 6-12 years old.   • SEF Spelling Bee (7:00 pm) @ Trottier Middle School: The bee is held by Southborough Education Foundation as an annual fundraiser. Doors open at 6:00 pm for the raffle and silent auction. The actual bee begins at 7:00 pm with the end time depending on how long the spellers last. Attendance is $5-$6 per person*. (Advanced purchase is advised). For details, see dedicated post.

  • Animals in Art (2:00 – 3:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: The Museum of Fine Arts is bringing this great workshop to the library! This program is for children ages 3-6 years old. Children will learn about animals in art. The program consists of a story, a lesson and an art project. Registration is required and space is limited.   • Boy Scout’s Pancake Breakfast (8:00 am – 1:00 pm) @ Neary School cafeteria: Troop 1 Boy Scouts 48th annual fundraiser. The menu also includes sausage, ham, and beverages. Tickets cost $6 for adults, $3 for seniors and kids 6-12, and children 5 and under eat for free. For details, see dedicated post.

Updated (2/28/17 4:09 pm): I had last year’s pricing on the SEF Spelling Bee. Sorry. This year, tickets are $6 pp for 1-4 tickets, $5 pp for 5+ tickets.
