Prayer service for 6 year old held on St. Mark’s Field

This Sunday, dozens of area residents came together in prayer for a local family. This prayer service wasn’t in one of the many area churches. It was held on St. Mark’s School’s field in Southborough.

The service focused on praying “for a miracle” while helping to “lift up” the family of 6 year old who has been battling a rare form of brain cancer.

The prayer service was originally scheduled to be held this coming Saturday on the field. According to the Boston Herald’s report, the service was moved up after Devin was relocated to the ICU.

Melissa Paratore Earls was one of the speakers who addressed the gathering. She explained that in the face of the unimaginable, Devin’s parents made a choice early on in Devin’s diagnosis to choose faith and positivity:

and I know that each and every one of us has felt them leading us in how to support them. . .

community of prayers all praying for one common cause can be heard louder.
