  • Exciting Women’s Circle (Senior Center Program) (10:30 am – 12:00 pm) @ The Southborough Senior Center, 9 Cordaville Rd: A monthly social group for women. New members always welcome. This session: Learn more about each other and ourselves by discussing unusual questions.
  • String-o-rama (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Trottier Middle School Gym: This is an orchestra concert featuring grades 3-12 students from the Southborough schools and Algonquin Regional. Short performances with quick transitions from the lowest to highest grades will give parents an “auditory snapshot” of the district’s music program. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Healthy Cleanse (6:30 pm) @ Southborough Wellness, 205 Turnpike Rd: Free Workshop – Reset Your Health Through Healthy Cleanse. Part of the store’s monthly workshop series. Registration is not required.

  • The Crown (Senior Center Program) (12:30 – 3:00 pm) @ The Southborough Senior Center, 9 Cordaville Rd: The center is kicking off its weekly screening of the 2nd season of the Crown. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Brew Moon Hike (6:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: A family friendly event that includes hiking under the moon and sample flights of beer (or hot cocoa for the kids). The event requires pre-registration and involves a fee. For details, see dedicated post.

Saturday, January 19, 2019

  • Poetry Writing Seminar (10:30 am – 2:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: Postponed from December. This seminar is led by poetry scholar Heather J. Macpherson. Focusing on the theme “The Eye”, participants will look at various literary representations. In between discussions, they’ll compose “poems that reveal, provocate, and see.” For details, see dedicated post.
  • Light Up Sledding (4:30 – 8:00 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm, Chestnut Hill Road: This is a weekly, potential-event through mid-March. Once again, the forecast makes it pretty unlikely for this week. If that changes and there’s enough snow to allow for it, their “best hill” will be marked with lit up lanes for sledding fun.

Sunday, January 20, 2019

  • “Knights and Wizardry” concert (3:30 – 5:30 pm) @ Putnam Family Arts Center, St. Mark’s School: The Symphony Pro Musica concert will feature “rock star” flutist Carlos Aguilar. The event is free for “First time Symphony Pro Musica patrons”. For everyone else, there is a ticket fee. (Click here to by tickets.) Stay tuned for details in a dedicated post tomorrow.

Updated (1/14/19 11:21 am): I learned about the concert at St. Mark’s School this Sunday and confirmed that the Healthy Cleanse workshop is taking place.

Updated (1/14/19 4:46 pm): Fixed an error in the above list. The Genealogy Club is meeting on Thursday.
