The week in government: Advisory and BOS on budget differences and Citizen Articles; Closing ATM Warrant; Fayville Hall P&S and septic (Updated – again)

Here is a selection of the committee and board meetings for the week along with my selected highlights from the agendas. All these meetings are open to the public, so you’re welcome to stop on by.

A couple of the posted agendas for this week raised some questions in my mind. I’m still waiting on some answers, so may update the post later if appropriate. One thing I can clarify is from agendas for a meeting earlier this morning – therefore not listed below.

Agendas for the Planning Board and Economic Development Committee indicated that they were holding a joint meeting with the Board of Selectmen. But no agenda was posted by the BOS office. Town Administrator Mark Purple said the agenda descriptions had surprised him too, since the board wasn’t scheduled to meet. If any selectmen did participate as board representatives, they didn’t make up a quorum. (That joint meeting was on working with a potential new business for the DELL/EMC site – New England Sports for Women.)

As always, be aware that changes to the meeting schedule are known to happen throughout the week. For an updated list of meetings, visit the town website.

(Videos are also usually made available through their YouTube channel by the following morning.)

Updated (2/12/19 8:19 am): There have been some revised and newly added agendas for the BOS meetings. The Tuesday agenda has been revised because it incorrectly listed the Town Administrator’s office as the location. (A notice on his door will point people to the Hearing Room.) A backup of the Joint Advisory and BOS meeting has been posted for Wednesday evening in case weather requires cancelling tonight.

In addition, I added a link to the School Committee listing.

Normally, SAM covers School Committee meetings and evening Board of Selectman meetings. I don’t yet know if they have enough manpower on Wednesday night to cover both overlapping meetings.

Updated (2/13/19 3:28 pm): SAM confirmed that tonight’s Advisory and BOS meetings will be broadcast live. They will also tape the School Committee meeting for later broadcast. As long as I’m updating the post, I’m adding tonight’s EDC meeting that I initially missed. (The agenda was posted after I drafted the original story.)
