Last week, Alonquin Athletics held tryouts for fall sports. By last Friday, some teams were already playing scrimmages. With two more scrimmages slated for this weekend, I’m sharing the ARHS varsity schedule for now through the following week.
But first, some related news.
Prior to competitions, this year each team member completed an initial ImPACT baseline test. The neurocognitive online assessment tool is used in concussion management. The tool is offered free to ARHS student athletes. The tests help licensed health care providers evaluate and mange concussions.
In past years, Regional School Committee members expressed disappointment that so few families were taking advantage of the opportunity. This fall, coaches brought teams into the school during practice hours to encourage everyone’s participation:

Looking at the upcoming schedule, Field Hockey will be the first to hit the field in a season competition. The first in-season home games are planned for Thursday with Girls Volleyball and Boys Soccer.
