Southborough Firefighters collecting for Project Just Because

If you’re heading out to do some Black Friday shopping this week, you may want to add an item or two to your list.

The Southborough Firefighter Department asked me to advertise it’s annual holiday collection drive. The SFD is collecting unwrapped gifts for Project Just Because based out of Hopkinton.

Project Just Because is a local outreach organization which lends year round support to Metrowest families in need this holiday season.

Donations of toys, books, gift cards, clothing, and other items are needed this year more than ever. . . If you don’t wish to donate in person, please note that you can provide financial support directly to Project Just Because by visiting www.projectjustbecause.org and clicking on the donate button. Below are some ideas for what is most needed this year:

  • Toys, clothing, and sporting equipment for all ages.
  • For teens: toiletry gift sets, blankets, board games, fast food gift cards.

Thank you for your continued support of this wonderful organization. Happy Holidays!

Anyone who wants to support the drive can drop off new, unwrapped items at the Public Safety Building at 32 Cordaville Road. The collection bin will be inside the vestibule in front of the lobby entrance. The drive will take place from this Friday, November 26 to Tuesday, December 14.
