VOLLEYBALL: Algonquin 3, Clinton 0
Senior outside hitter Gwen Ngai had 18 service points, five aces and five digs to lead visiting Algonquin over Clinton in a non-league match, 25-4, 25-6, 25-11.

Sophomore outside hitter Stephanie Hom (15 service points, 7 aces, 6 digs), senior outside hitter Chelsea Curley (8 service points, 4 aces, 4 kills, 6 digs), and sophomore libero Lauren Yung (9 digs) all had strong games for the Tomahawks.

FIELD HOCKEY: Algonquin 5, Milford 0
Algonquin scored 5 goals and dominated possession to get a win over Milton. Algonquin’s Kayla Sergi, Mary Farrell, Sam Howells, Taylor Johnson and Amanda Yee each scored a goal in the game. Read more about the game here.

GOLF: Algonquin 208, Leominster 212
Senior Sam Bush shot a 3-over-par 38 and junior Larry Dore carded a 39 as Algonquin (1-1, 1-0) defeated Mid-Wach A opponent Leominster at the Juniper Hill Golf Course.

VOLLEYBALL: Algonquin 3, Hudson 0
Sophomore outside hitter Stephanie Hom had 13 service points, including six aces, and eight digs as Algonquin swept visiting Hudson, 25-6, 25-14, 25-22, in a non-league match.

Senior middle hitter Darcy Hamilton had 12 service points with three aces and senior outside hitter Chelsea Curley had 11 points with three aces and seven digs. Junior setters Kelsey Henningson and Elana Marks combined for 25 assists for Algonquin (2-0). Hudson falls to 0-2.

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY: SHREWSBURY 18, ALGONQUIN 39
On a three-mile course in Northborough, Algonquin was unable to topple Mid-Wach A rival Shrewsbury in a boys cross-country meeting.

Senior Andrew Farrell finished fourth overall with a time of 17:30 for the Tomahawks (0-2 overall, MWA), as junior Jon Scott Lupke placed sixth (17:51), sophomore Jes Schow was eighth (18:15) and senior Karl Young was ninth (18:18).

BOYS SOCCER: Algonquin 3, North Middlesex 0
Goalkeeper Jose Silva had two saves as Algonquin blanked visiting North Middlesex in a Mid-Wach A tilt.

Tyler Guzzi and Josh Jordan scored unassisted goals while Brendan McGill scored on an assist from Ricky Sagan for the Tomahawks in their first match of the season.

GIRLS SOCCER: Algonquin 6, North Middlesex 0
Senior Samantha Abro scored three goals and added an assist to lead Algonquin over North Middlesex in a Mid-Wach A tilt.

Junior Samantha Friday also tallied three goals and sophomore Sarah Dahlstrom had two assists in the victory for the Tomahawks (1-0 MWA).
