We did, for about an hour from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and apparently we weren’t alone. When the power came back on, I checked the National Grid Storm Center website and 767 customers in Southborough were still without power. As of an hour later, that number was down to 195.
01/29 Update: Apparently a power line came down on Southville Road last night. There is a very cool picture over at southboroughnews.com (you may need to scroll to see it).
we were about 1 house away from where the line went down, so we didn’t get power back on until 2am, near as i can tell…
Sounds like we were lucky then … and not only because dinner came out of the oven seconds before the power went out.
We’re on the other side of town, so the outage must have affected a wide area.
