Senior Center newsletter for March/April

According to Pam LeFrancois, director of the Southborough Senior Center, Southborough has about 1,400 residents over the age of 60. About half of them participate in programs and activities at the Southborough Senior Center on Cordaville Road.

If you’re one of them — or if you’re just curious about what goes on in the Senior Center — check out the latest Senior Center newsletter online. Here are some highlights:

  • The function room at the Senior Center just got a new coat of paint, new carpet, and a new projector and sound system.
  • The Friends of the Council on Aging brought in over $2,000 at the Autumn Fair which will be used to fund Senior Center programs and activities.
  • An article in the newsletter provides detail about the tax work-off program that lets seniors trade volunteer work hours for a reduction in their property tax bill.
  • Upcoming activities include tango lessons, a bocce league, and classes on how to play Wii fitness games.
