Santa’s helpers say thanks

Head elf Nancy Gould enjoyed a bird’s-eye view of Southborough on Saturday as she accompanied Santa on his helicopter flight into town. She sent along this photo:

Nancy and her fellow Kindergroup elves had this message of thanks for all the Santa Day sponsors who made the day possible:

Last Saturday, Southborough was once again graced by the arrival of Santa Claus via helicopter.  Then, roughly 200 children met with Santa at the Community House.  Some came prepared with lists, pictures, and very specific instructions for the man.  Others approached hesitantly, while others flat out cried.  What they all had in common was an awestruck respect for the man in the red suit.  David Garden (Music Together) entertained the children with holiday music.  Each child left with a keepsake picture of him/herself with Santa, and wonderful memories!

It was a great time in Southborough thanks to the generosity of many local businesses.  Kindergroup looks forward to organizing this day each year, but could not host this event without the support of sponsors.  This is truly a community event, and we thank the following business for their generosity and support:

Capital Properties, Mr. Yanai, Falconi Brothers, Remax – Marilyn Green, Marlborough Savings Bank, McCarthy Pools, Middlesex Bank, Southborough House of Pizza, Kristine Shifrin- Coldwell Banker Residential Properties, Fair and Yeager Insurance, Domino’s of Southborough, Hooray for Books, Friends of Southborough Recreation, Candylicious, Southborough Village Preschool, Wee Care for Little People, Bickford Restoration and Building, Dave Garden – Music Together, Gulbankian Farms Garden Center, Quik Print, Global Real Estate Properties -Brian Shifrin, Niva Denim and Apparel, Jill Vroman – Fit for Life, Town Center Pediatrics, W.S.
