An evening out: Steeple Coffeehouse show plus dinner and someone to watch the kids

Anthony da Costa will perform along with Abbie Gardner
at the Steeple Coffeehouse on Saturday

Want an easy and affordable night out this weekend? Steeple Coffeehouse, along with partners Tomasso Trattoria and the Pilgrim Church Youth Group, has you covered.

The Steeple Coffeehouse performance on Saturday features folk musicians Abbie Gardner and Anthony da Costa. Here are the program notes:

Two great musicians coming together as a duo.  Abbie Gardner and Anthony da Costa are always fantastic regardless of the configuration (playing solo or with their respective bands, hers of course being the incomparable Red Molly), but when they play as a duo, it’s unique, fun, and magical.

Opening the show will be the fantastic  Robert Hill of the Robert Hill Band.

The show starts at 7:30 pm. Steeple Coffeehouse is located in Pilgrim Church. Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door. Discounts are available for students and seniors. See the Steeple Coffeehouse website for more details.

If you want to make a full evening out of it, check out the special Dinner and a Show offer from Tomasso Trattoria especially for those going to the Steeple Coffeehouse show.

And here’s where it gets really good. The Pilgrim Church Senior High Youth Group will provide babysitting at the church for $10 per kid. Proceeds benefit their 2010 mission trip to New York. Find more details here.

This will likely be a fantastic show – I know these guys, they’re fantastic performers. Although I want to make sure that the picture above doesn’t mislead you, Anthony will occasionally make use of an electric guitar, but his bread and butter is Americana acoustic. I promise, to anyone who enjoys great songwriting, this is a show you cannot miss.
