In the media: Company fined after Southborough explosion

About a year and a half after an electrical explosion at the former Hendries Ice Cream plant sent two workers to the hospital, the state Department of Environmental Protection yesterday fined a South Carolina scrap metal salvage company $15,000 for asbestos removal violations.

You can read more about the fine here. The explosion at 1 Harvest Lane happened in July 2008 when workers in the warehouse cut a live electric wire.
