Southborough Education Foundation Spelling Bee raises over $13K

The third annual Southborough Education Foundation Spelling Bee was held last Friday night. SEF board member Terry Ryan sent in this report:

The Bee was tremendously successful, filling the Trottier Auditorium to capacity and raising over $13,000.  The team costumes were tremendous and everyone seemed to have a great time. The winning team was from the Neary (the Neary WizWordz) this year with team members Linda Murdoch, Leigh Rogers and Kelly Farrell. They were seriously challenged by the Three Seusses Team of Mary Ryan, Jean Tower and Jim Randell but after several words prevailed by spelling “hemorrhage”.

Best costumes went to the Metrowestern Parents (Pauline Jen Ryan, Cliff Lee, and Mark Ford) and to the Thesauruses (dressed as dinosaurs – Tom McCabe, Nancy Young, Alysun Setphens-Kenney).

Ryan also sent a bunch of photos. Click any of the thumbnails to enlarge and view as a slideshow.
