Fox News to broadcast live from Southborough on Friday

Choate Field was home to movie stars one year ago this month

It was just about a year ago that Choate Field at Woodward Elementary School played host to Hollywood. The cameras will be back in town on Friday, but on a slightly different scale.

Fox 25 Morning News will broadcast from Choate Field on Friday morning as part of their Zip Trip series. The broadcast will spotlight Southborough businesses and other things that make our town great.

Residents are invited to come down and join the fun. The morning news broadcasts from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm, but I’m not sure when the Zip Trip segments begins. Anyone know?

Fox 25 is doing a book drive as part of the Zip Trip series, so if you stop by on Friday morning, bring a book. The list of recommend books is on the Fox 25 website.

Update 1:56 pm: I just got confirmation that they’ll be broadcasting from 6:00 to 9:00 am. As for the book drive, they’re specifically requesting new copies Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See by Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle.

This sounds exciting. My only objection is calling Fox News “news”! Have fun everyone!
