It was a season of amazing moments for the Southboro Little League team, but I have to imagine one of the most amazing came on Saturday night, long after the season had ended.
Our sluggers from Southborough got to walk out onto the field at Fenway Park before Saturday evening’s game against the Chicago White Sox, where they were honored as the Massachusetts state champions.
The little leaguers weren’t the only ones from Southborough honored by the Red Sox this holiday weekend. Southborough resident and legendary pitcher Luis Tiant was celebrated before Monday night’s game.
