NSPAC hosts presentation on college planning for students with special needs

From the Northborough/Southborough Special Education Parent Advisory Council (NSPAC):

NSPAC cordially invites you to attend a presentation on Planning for Success: College and Postsecondary Options for Students with Special Needs. Thursday October 14, 2010, 6:30 pm-8:30 pm at Algonquin Regional High School Black Box Theater, 79 Bartlett St., Northborough.

In this presentation by Renee LeWinter Goldberg, Ed.D., C.E.P  you will learn about postsecondary options for students with special needs: college, transition programs, postgraduate year, understanding the student’s learning profile, self-advocacy, and grade 9-12 timeline.

Renee Goldberg, Ed.D, C.E.P. has spent more than 25 years in the field of education. She has consulted to a number of academic institutions including Harvard University, Boston College, Bates College and Wheaton College. At Clark, she established and created support services for students with learning disabilities, one of the first of its kind at a select university. Dr. Goldberg founded Educational Options, LLC, in 1992, with a special interest in students with learning disabilities and ADHD.
