They may not have taken home the state championship this fall, but the Algonquin girls field hockey team still had an incredible season. On Friday night the team was honored during halftime at the boys varsity basketball game against Shrewsbury.
The field hockey team won the Central Mass Division 1 championship and made it all the way to the state championship. Both accomplishments were firsts for Algonquin’s field hockey program. A banner will be hung in the Algonquin gymnasium in honor of the accomplishment.
