My Southborough reader Maura sent in this report about a recent scout trip:

Weeblo Den 4 Pack 1 visited the Framingham District Court in January to earn their Citizenship Award. They met with Assistant District Attorneys Joseph Gentile and Julie Andrus, who gave the boys a tour of the courthouse and explained the Massachusetts court system and what it means to be a good citizen.

The boys rose when Judge Douglas Stoddart arrived into the courtroom, where he spoke to the boys about what a judge did, how he became a judge, and some of his most interesting cases. The boys asked a lot of great questions and shared some of their own knowledge with Judge Stoddart, Ms. Andrus, and Mr. Gentile.

The end of the tour was a visit to the courthouse jail with court officer Steve MacInnis.  The boys learned a great deal
