Southborough Food Pantry thanks mail carriers and residents

Volunteers with the Southborough Food Pantry expressed their thanks to postal workers and Southborough residents for their participation in the second annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive last weekend.

“This drive helps us keep our shelves stocked for summer,” one volunteer said. “Thanks to everyone for their continued support.”

While the postal drive certainly helps, summer is generally a slow time for donations to the food pantry. Good news is you don’t have to wait for a food drive to donate, you can drop items off at any of the Southborough churches, or at Pilgrim Church during normal pantry hours (Tuesdays 7-8:00 pm, and Fridays 10-11:00 am).

In particular, volunteers say there’s still a need for crackers, instant potatoes, Parmalat 1% milk, canned fruit, canned meats, and paper products.
