Obit Christine M. (Zelesky) Woods – October 31, 2011

Christine M. (Zelesky) Woods, 65, a long time Southborough resident, died on Monday, October 31, 2011 at Metro West Medical Center in Framingham.

Mrs. Woods was a 1963 graduate of St. Stephen High School and a 1966 graduate of St. Vincent’s School of Nursing, both of Worcester. She later continued her education and graduated from Framingham State College in 1996. Christine was an Occupational Health Nurse for Dow Chemical in Marlborough for over 22 years, retiring in December of 2010.

She was a member of St. Matthew Church of Southborough and enjoyed traveling and spending her summers in York, ME. As a devoted mother and grandmother, her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Donald P. Woods of Southborough; her children, Cheri Wilson and her husband Jonathan of Dover, NH; Michael Woods and his wife Andrea of Woburn; Karen Woods of Tewksbury; a sister Carolyn Urban and her husband James of Southborough; 4 brothers, Vincent Zelesky and his wife Aileen of Worcester; Paul Zelesky of Southborough; John Zelesky and his wife Ellen of Worcester; James Zelesky and his wife Nancy of Hiram, ME; 5 grandchildren, Emily and Ian Wilson; Jacey, Darren, and Dylan Woods; a sister-in-law Mary Perron and her husband Al of Indiana; 3 brother-in-laws, Joseph woods and his wife Nancy of South Carolina; Stephen Woods and his wife Dawn of Spencer; Thomas Woods and his wife Joan of Oregon; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 3, from 4 to 8 PM at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St. Rte 30, Southborough. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Friday, November 4, at 10:30 AM at St. Matthew Church, Highland St., Southborough. Burial will be private.
