New indoor playspace opens in Southborough

Here’s one I’ve been meaning to bring you for a while now. Last month a new indoor playspace opened up at 150 Cordaville Road (map) in the former High Speed Video building where Metrowest Gymnastics most recently was.

I haven’t been, but according to its website, Inside Playground is “a spacious area for the children to enjoy physical activities (inflated structures, slides, swings, play-cars, ball-pools, etc.) as well as sit-down games (books, puzzles, miniature furniture, dolls, computers, etc.).” It’s intended for children aged six and under.

This is the second location for Inside Playground. There is also one in Watertown.

Inside Playground is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, and Sundays from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. The entrance fee is $10 per child ($8 for additional children) on weekedays and $12 on weekends ($10 for additional children). Multi-visit passes, yearly memberships, and group discounts are also available.

For more information, visit the Inside Playground website (southboroughinsideplayground.com).

As a mother of two extremely active young boys (age 5 and 3.5), I am thrilled that a wide-open, brightly painted, clean and engaging Indoor Playground exists in Southborough. There is a terrific balance between active activities – bouncy house, blow-up structure, small ride-on bikes, small basketball net and the quieter activities – puzzles, doll house, kitchen, books, puppet show, trains, blocks, etc.

There is comfortable seating, a pleasant space to eat, water fountain and clean bathrooms. They also have a huge space for parties and a quieter area for younger children.

Their website doesn’t have great photos and isn’t a good representation of the space. They still need to put a sign out as many people don’t know the place exists – it is at the light directly across from the Dump on rt 85.

I encourage you to check it out. I am not involved or invested in the company in any way, I’m just trying to help a local business succeed so that I can continue going there with my children. With two extremely active boys, I am learning that tired children = happy parents.

A kid can be a kid and it is easy to be a parent at the Indoor Playground.

Thank you for relating your experiences at this play area. Sounds like it is definitely worth a try.
