Southborough police log (2/10/12 – 2/14/12): House parties and TP’d trees

Friday, February 10, 2012

  • 12:23 am – Officers investigated a barking dog complaint at the Red Roof Inn on Turnpike Road.
  • 1:47 am – Officers investigated a suspicious person walking on the Route 30 (Boston Road) causeway. Everything checked out o.k., and the male party was given a transport to the Framingham town line.
  • 2:08 am – Officers checked a suspicious motor vehicle with two occupants parked on Main Street. Both parties checked out o.k.
  • 8:15 am – A Parkerville Road resident reported a dead deer on the side of the road (near Gilmore Road). The Animal Control Officer was notified of the deceased deer.
  • 9:25 am – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Cordaville Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 9:33 am – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Middle Road residence.
  • 10:13 am – Officers responded to Central Street and Boston Road for a report of malfunctioning traffic lights.
  • 11:03 am – Officers responded to the White Bagley Road area for a report of a person standing in the water (reservoir). The responding officer reported that there was no one in the area upon his arrival.
  • 2:15 pm – A Richards Road resident reported that their bank card was compromised. The responding officer took a report on the incident.
  • 2:34 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Fisher Road residence.
  • 3:00 pm – Officers responded to Turnpike Road for a report of an erratic operator. The vehicle was located, and the operator checked out o.k.
  • 4:50 pm – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 6:25 pm – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 7:30 pm – A Southville Road resident reported that a cat was just struck and killed on Southville Road. The Animal Control Officer was notified and responded to the scene to retrieve the cat.
  • 9:22 pm – ARRESTED: Three Southborough minors were arrested and charged with being a Minor In Possession of Alcohol.
  • 9:51 pm – A medical was reported at a Woodbury Road residence.
  • 10:12 pm – Officers responded to a Burnett Road residence for a report of a suspicious pick-up truck that had just parked in front of the reporting party’s house. The vehicle had left the area prior to the officer’s arrival.
  • 10:48 pm – Officers responded to a Lover’s Lane residence to investigate a noise complaint. The home owner was spoken to about keeping their music down.

Saturday, February 11, 2012

  • 5:25 am – Two vehicles were issued parking citations for violating the overnight winter parking ban on Common Street.
  • 10:35 am – A medical was reported from within a vehicle parked on Boston Road.
  • 11:18 am – Officers investigated a report of a hunter in the area of the 911 Field. Responding officers spoke with the party, and it was determined that they were just walking through the area. (The person was wearing an orange coat and hat, and was carrying a walking stick).
  • 5:15 pm – Officers responded with the fire department to a Blackthorn Road residence for a report of a fire in the home. The (small) fire was put out by the fire department, and no injuries were reported from the scene.
  • 9:33 pm – ARRESTED: A Marlborough man was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Revoked License; Expired Registration; Red Light Violation; and an Expired Registration Sticker.
  • 10:36 pm – Officers responded to the Moore Road area for a report of suspicious motor vehicles in the area. Vehicles were found to be parked near a large house party on Atwood Road.
  • 10:53 pm – Officers placed a male party in protective custody on Atwood Road. A resident of Atwood Road will be summonsed to court for being a Keeper of a Disorderly House.

Sunday, February 12, 2012

  • 10:51 am – Officers responded to a Rock Spring Lane residence for a report of vandalism. At some point during the night, unknown suspect(s) toilet papered the trees on the resident’s property. No damage was reported, but the resident wanted the incident on file.
  • 12:37 pm – Officers responded to Bigelow Road for a report of a tree down and low hanging wires. The responding officer requested National Grid to respond to the scene.
  • 2:41 pm – A well-being check was conducted on four people sleeping in their vehicle in front of a Turnpike Road business. The occupants checked out o.k., and reported that they were just stopping to rest.
  • 4:08 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Flagg Road residence.
  • 7:11 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Cordaville Road business.
  • 8:02 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at the same Cordaville Road business.

Monday, February 13, 2012

  • 1:14 am – Falmouth Police requested Southborough Police’s assistance in locating a Garrison Lane resident. The resident was located and advised to contact Falmouth Police.
  • 7:27 am – An Atwood Road resident requested to speak with an officer about an issue she is having with her son.
  • 10:17 am – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from the Fay School.
  • 11:42 am – A medical was reported at a Newton Street business.
  • 3:20 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Main Street residence.
  • 3:43 pm – A motorist reported finding a small dog on Main Street. The Animal Control Officer was advised and contacted the reporting party.
  • 6:39 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Sears Road residence.
  • 7:22 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 7:27 pm – An officer responded with the SFD for a Life Line assist at a Boston Road residence.
  • 8:01 pm – A medical was reported from a Main Street residence.
  • 9:23 pm – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.

Tuesday, February 14, 2012

  • 6:13 am – Officers issued a criminal application (summons) for a revoked registration to a motorist on Cordaville Road.
  • 7:44 am – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident at a Cordaville Road business. No injuries were reported from the scene.
  • 9:28 am – Officers responded to Winter Street for a report of a person (or animal) screaming. The responding officers were unable locate the source of the disturbance.
  • 9:47 am – Officers issued a criminal application to a motorist on Cordaville Road for Operating with a Suspended License.
  • 9:49 am – Officers investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle (black pick-up) parked on Ted Lane. The vehicle had left the area before the responding officer’s arrival.
  • 11:04 am – Officers responded with the SFD for a fire alarm at a Main Street business.
  • 12:25 pm – A Southborough officer assisted Marlborough Police in locating a missing child in their town. The child was located near the roadway, close to the where the child lives.
  • 1:31 pm – Officers responded to Wendy’s restaurant on Turnpike Road for a report of a dump truck that was blocking the driveway of the business. The responding officer reported the vehicle had left the area.
  • 4:44 pm – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 8:32 pm – Officers assisted a motorist who had just struck a deer on Acre Bridge Road. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene of the crash, but no injuries were reported.
  • 8:41 pm – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 9:47 pm – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Marlboro Road residence.
  • 11:06 pm – A motorist called to report a suspicious male party dressed in black clothes, walking down Boston Road. Responding officers reported that the individual had left the area.
