Southborough police log (3/1/12 – 3/3/12): Mailbox vandalism and motorists in trouble

Thursday, March 1, 2012

  • 2:08 am – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Cordaville Road.
  • 2:59 am – Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 6:40 am – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Cordaville Road. No injuries were reported from the scene.
  • 8:25 am – Officers responded to Walnut Drive for a report of a low-hanging wire. The officer on scene confirmed the wire was hanging too low, and requested that Verizon be notified.
  • 9:08 am – Officers assisted a Meeting House Lane resident with a domestic issue.
  • 10:55 am – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 11:13 am – Officers investigated a report of multiple, vandalized mailboxes on Parkerville Road. A report was filed on the incident(s), and the case was forwarded to the Detective.
  • 12:09 pm – A medical was reported at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 2:13 pm – A suspicious black pick-up was reported in the Harris Drive area. The truck had left the scene prior to the responding officer’s arrival.
  • 4:36 pm – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Boston Road. There were no injuries reported from the scene.
  • 4:49 pm – Officers responded to John Street for a report of a delivery truck that had pulled down a telephone wire. The officer on scene requested for Verizon to be notified.
  • 4:58 pm – Officers investigated a report of a vehicle that slid off the road into a ditch on Bridge Street. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident. The vehicle had left the area prior to the responding officer’s arrival.
  • 10:34 pm – Officers investigated a suspicious motor vehicle parked on Breakneck Hill Road. The vehicle checked out o.k.
  • 11:36 pm – A medical was reported at a Wentworth Drive residence.

Friday, March 2, 2012

  • 7:34 am – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Oregon Road.
  • 8:55 am – Officers took a report of a Larceny from a Turnpike Road business. Four tires were stolen from a vehicle parked in the lot of the business.
  • 10:00 am – Officers responded to Walnut Drive for a report of low-hanging telephone wires. The responding officer requested for Verizon to be advised of the situation.
  • 10:06 am – Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Woodland Road. There were no injuries reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 11:10 am – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 11:40 am – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Northboro Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 12:27 pm – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 3:54 pm – Officers investigated a three car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 6:48 pm – Officers responded to Barn Lane for a report of two vehicles driving fast through the neighborhood. Both vehicles were located and the drivers were given a warning and asked to leave the area.
  • 10:09 pm – ARRESTED: A juvenile resident of Parkerville Road was arrested at her residence for Domestic Assault & Battery.
  • 9:42 pm – Officers assisted a Middle Road resident with a domestic issue.

Saturday, March 3, 2012

  • 12:17 am – Newton Police requested Southborough Police’s assistance in locating a Southville Road resident. The resident was located and advised to contact Newton Police.
  • 1:58 am – Officers investigated a suspicious motor vehicle parked at a Turnpike Road business. The responding officer advised that the vehicle and its operator checked out o.k.
  • 9:25 am – Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Sears Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 9:37 am – Officers investigated a report of a damaged mailbox on Presidential Drive. The resident believed that a vehicle had struck the mailbox within the past hour.
  • 10:01 am – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Pine Hill Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 5:39 pm – Officers investigated a report of a large trash bag in the middle of Cordaville Road. The responding officer located and removed the bag from the roadway.
  • 6:15 pm – A motorist reported a large, flat bed truck parked in the middle of Southville Road. The truck had left the area prior to the responding officer’s arrival.
  • 11:02 pm – The DPW was requested to sand and salt the roads, due to extreme icy conditions.
