Southborough Fire Department collecting household items for Marlborough fire victims

The Southborough Fire Department is partnering with Marlborough-based Furnishing Options to collect items for those who were left temporarily homeless by last week’s six-alarm fire at the Lake Williams condo complex in Marlborough.

You can drop off linens and small household items – sheets, quilts, towels, blankets, cookware, and kitchen items – at the fire station through Thursday, May 12. Donations may be new or used. If used, please make sure they are clean and in good condition without rips or stains.

Furnishing Options also accepts larger furniture items like dressers, bookshelves, and dining room tables, but please don’t bring those to the fire station. To make arrangements for furniture donations, contact Furniture Options directly at 774-348-4922, or email Southborough coordinator Patricia Burns Fiore at Note that because of health requirements, Furnishing Options does not accept mattresses or sleep sofas.

Hi Carrie
Drop it off at the fire station when you have a chance. FO does not normally accept electronics but these are special circumstances so it will be put to good use. Thank you! Thank you!
