It was a 50-50 day in Algonquin sports yesterday, with the boys lacrosse team advancing in their Central Mass tournament, but the boys volleyball team reaching the end of the road.

The top-ranked Algonquin boys lacrosse team handily beat Hudson in their first-round match by a score of 18-4. They’ll face 8th-seed Westborough in the quarterfinals on Friday at 4:00 pm. A location has not yet been announced, but will be posted on the tournament bracket when available.

After winning their first-round match against Marlborough last week, the 8th-seed Algonquin boys volleyball team fell to top-ranked Milford yesterday by a score of 3-0. The boys finish the year with a regular season record of 14-6.
