I don’t know about you, but I’m doing a good bulk of my holiday shopping online this year (when I’m not shopping local, that is), so this warning from the Southborough Police Department is one I’m taking to heart. The message was posted this morning on the department’s Facebook page.
To our residents: We have had a few reported incidents of packages being stolen from resident’s doorsteps. If you are having a package delivered to your home, you may want to ask a neighbor or family member to keep an eye out for it. Also, we suggest monitoring the company’s tracking information so that you’ll be aware of your item’s expected delivery date. By doing this, you’ll be able to report a stolen item immediately.
