Administrative Assistant

The Town of Southborough seeks applicants for a part-time [no benefits] position in the Recreation Department. Applicant must greet visitors, answers phones, and respond to inquiries using excellent customer service skills. Shall also provide assistance to the public, program registrants, Town staff (including schools), Director and Program Coordinators.

Primary responsibility includes:

  • oversee incoming registrations for all programs
  • assistance with public relations for programming
  • Frequent data entry tasks in addition to payroll and payables
  • Administrative and clerical support to department

Must be a highly detailed oriented person and able to work in hectic environment. Proficient in MS Office suite and willingness to learn department specific applications.

Must possess high school diploma, have five years’ work experience and/or one to two years of college level education. Successful applicant must possess current driver’s license.
