Southborough Library is looking for advisors

The Southborough Public Library is forming a Programming Advisory Board. They are looking for patrons to join it.

The board will meet 2-3 times during the year to share ideas. They are looking for people willing to brainstorm ideas and research details.

Over the past year, two members of The Friends of the Southborough Library stepped up to help the library plan an author series. Working with Library Director Jane Cain, they helped to set up some great events. And their work is continuing.

But an author series is just one kind of programming.

What else would the town like to see? If you have ideas about what should be offered through the Library, this new board is your chance to do something about it.

Do you have great ideas for programs for all ages at the Library? Do you have some time to check out performers, authors and experts and make suggestions to the Library? Or have you seen something lately that you wish we could offer at the Southborough Library?

The first meeting will be held in October.

If you would like to volunteer, contact Library Director Jane Cain at 508-485-5031 or jcain@southboroughma.com. Let her know what your available schedule is.
