Senior Center to help residents “demystify” Medicare options, October 2

The Annual Open Enrollment Period for Medicare is open from October 15 to December 7. This is the window in which Medicare customers are allowed to switch plans.

For many, the plan choices can be confusing. Seniors may be wary of making any changes, even if they aren’t happy with their current plan. What if they make a choice that’s worse?

To help navigate the options, the Senior Center is bringing in expert Carolyn MacLeod. She will explain plan options and answer questions.

The presentation will take place this Wednesday, October 2, 1:00 – 2:00 pm at the Senior Center.

Have you been struggling with your drug costs?

Have you been concerned about the mounting cost of your Medicare Advantage plan co-pays?

Are you just not sure you have the right plan or wonder if there is a better plan out there for you?

Is your current plan being discontinued or no longer accepted by your doctor in 2014 and you’re not sure what to do?

You are invited to attend a presentation by our own Senior Center SHINE counselor, Carolyn MacLeod. The SHINE Program—Serving Health Information Needs of Everyone—offers free Medicare and Medicaid advice for all Massachusetts residents.
