Girl Scouts collecting for animal shelters through January 24

Girl Scouts aren’t just all about the cookies. Community projects is a big part of their mission.

One current effort is a collection drive for local animal shelters through January 24.

The drive is organized by Southborough Junior Girl Scout Troop 85160. Their goal is to collect “home comforts” for cats & dogs for three shelters.

You can drop off donated items to marked bins at Finn, Woodward, Neary Schools or Southborough Library.

Requested items are:

  • Cat/Dog Treats (new/unopened)
  • Cat Litter
  • Liquid dish or hand soap
  • Tennis Balls
  • Stop & Shop Gift Cards
  • Long socks
  • New Dog/Cat Toys

You can help out our furry friends in need while helping the girls earn their Bronze Award.
