I know there’s a lot of snow still covering the ground, but spring is here. So, it’s not to soon to place orders for your spring pansies. Especially when it’s in support of a good cause.

Town of Southborough employees are running their annual Pansies for Progress fundraising drive for the Pancreatic Cancer Alliance.*

100% of proceeds go to pancreatic cancer research and patient care through UMass Medical School.

The cost is $5 for one 5-inch pot or $20 for four 5-inch pots.

To participate, you need to place your orders by April 1st. (No foolin’.)

pansies_for_progressPlease make your checks out to Pancreatic Cancer Alliance upon ordering.

To do that, you can stop by the Town House or the Southborough Senior Center and order your pansies by April 1st (no foolin’). Or email the Assitant Town Administrator at vhale@southboroughma.com.

The pansies will be delivered April 13-17.

*The town’s involvement in the fundraiser was started in honor of late-former police chief William Webber, who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer in 2008.
