The members of Southborough Kindergroup are no doubt on Santa’s nice list again this year after putting together another magical Santa Day last weekend.
The organizers asked me to pass along their thanks to all those who made the 38th annual event possible.
(Scroll down to the bottom of the post for photos of the event. )
Over 300 happy children visited Santa Claus in downtown Southborough on Saturday.
The weather was perfect for the helicopter landing on the field. (A nice respite from the rain that forced Santa to come in by Fire Engine last year.)
As usual, there was a big crowd to welcome the Jolly Old Elf as he made his way to the Community House. Outside the house, visitors also got to pose with “Olaf the Snowman” from Frozen.
Inside, children enjoyed holiday music, worked on crafts, and had their special time with Santa. On the way out, visitors celebrated with refreshments.
Lending a hand that day were Fay School volunteers, Boy Scouts on “Santa Security” on the field, and the Algonquin Chorus who chimed in their voices to entertain waiting kids.
The day would not have been possible without support from the sponsors. I want to thank them for helping Kindergroup continue their special tradition.
