Police logs (February 15 – 20): Burglary, attempted break-in, and a larceny

Southborough Police are investigating a burglary on Oak Hill Road that took place Friday. It was preceded by an abandoned attempt on that street on Wednesday. The police are asking anyone who has information to contact them.

The department is also investigating a larceny reported earlier in the week.

Monday, February 15, 2016:

  • 0031 hrs – An officer responded with the Fire Department to a fire alarm activation at a Boston Road business.
  • 0356 hrs -Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Cordaville Road business.
  • 1009 hrs – A motorist from Marlborough, MA was issued a Criminal Application for Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License; Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle; and Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Revoked Registration.
  • 1757 hrs – Officers investigated a report of an intoxicated male in the area of Main Street and Boston Road. Officers responded and checked the area, but the male party had left prior to the responding officer’s arrival.
  • 1811 hrs – An officer took a Larceny from a building report from a Woodland Road resident. The incident is currently under Investigation at this time.
  • 1847 hrs – Hopkinton Police were notified of an erratic operator that was reportedly heading into their town from Cordaville Road in Southborough.
  • 2009 hrs – The DPW was requested to treat the roadways due to poor conditions.
  • 2015 hrs – A medical was reported at a Parkerville Road residence.
  • 2131 hrs – A medical was reported at a Newton Street residence.
  • 2300 hrs – Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 2319 hrs – Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Framingham Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.

Tuesday, February 16, 2016:

  • 0541 hrs – Officers investigated a parking complaint on Waterview Terrace.
  • 1120 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at an East Main Street business.
  • 1130 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at an Overlook Drive residence.
  • 1258 hrs – Solicitors came into the police station to register for the day.
  • 1628 hrs – An officer on patrol removed a large tree limb from the roadway on Fisher Road.
  • 1648 hrs – An officer on patrol removed a large tree limb from the roadway on Cordaville Road.
  • 1703 hrs – An officer on patrol removed a large tree limb from the roadway on Latisquama Road.
  • 1705 hrs – An officer assisted a disabled motorist on Richards Road.
  • 1748 hrs – An officer assisted a disabled motorist on Main Street.
  • 2316 hrs – An officer assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.

Wednesday, February 17, 2016:

  • 0752 hrs – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 0827 hrs – An officer served court paperwork to a Marlboro Road resident.
  • 1145 hrs – Officers investigated a report of a suspicious motor vehicle in the area of Woodland Road. Responding officers reported back negative findings in the area.
  • 1241 hrs – Southborough officers assisted Westborough police in locating the owner of a lost wallet on Flagg Road.
  • 1421 hrs – Southborough officers responded to a Carriage Hill Circle residence to assist the Fire Department with a working fire at the residence.
  • 1653 hrs – An intoxicated male was placed into Protective Custody at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 1732 hrs – An attempted burglary was reported at an Oak Hill Road residence. An outside window screen was cut and pulled away from a window, but it did not appear that entry was made to the residence. The incident is currently under Investigation at this time.
  • 1942 hrs – An officer assisted a resident with a civil issue at the police station.
  • 2145 hrs – An officer responded with the Fire Department to investigate a fire alarm activation at a Turnpike Road business.

Thursday, February 18, 2016:

  • 0009 hrs – A motorist from Lowell, MA was issued a Criminal Application for Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License.
  • 1014 hrs – Officers investigated an accidental 911 call from a Turnpike Road business.
  • 1102 hrs – A medical was reported at Fay School on Main Street.
  • 1102 hrs – An officer investigated a report of a suspicious male outside of a Boston Road business. The responding officer located the male and reported back that everything checked out ok.
  • 1202 hrs – Officers responded with the Fire Department to investigate a fire alarm activation at a Ledge Hill Road residence.
  • 1444 hrs – A medical was reported at a Newton Street business.
  • 1650 hrs – A motorist from Framingham, MA was issued a Criminal Application for Operating a Motor Vehicle without a License; Attaching Motor Vehicle Plates; and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.

Friday, February 19, 2016:

  • 0433 hrs – Officers responded to a Boston Road residence for a requested well-being check.
  • 0705 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Main Street residence.
  • 0840 hrs – Officers investigated a report of a low hanging wire on Brigham Street. Verizon was notified.
  • 0930 hrs – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Turnpike Road residence.
  • 0957 hrs – An officer on patrol removed a traffic hazard (barrel) from the roadway on Framingham Road.
  • 1130 hrs – A well-being check was conducted on an individual outside of a Turnpike Road business.
  • 1508 hrs – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 1639 hrs – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 2135 hrs – Officers investigated a burglary at an Oak Hill Road residence. Entry was made by force (back door), and several items were missing from inside the residence.   • 2218 hrs – Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a Turnpike Road business. Responding officers located the individuals involved and reported back that everything checked out ok.
  • 2345 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike road.

Saturday, February 20, 2016:

  • 0134 hrs – An officer responded with the Fire Department to a fire alarm activation at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 0243 hrs – Officers investigated a report of a suspicious motor vehicle parked in the area of Darlene Drive. The vehicle was located and the responding officer reported back that everything checked out ok.
  • 0957 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 1123 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 1230 hrs – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Cordaville Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 1550 hrs – An officer investigated a parking complaint on Highland Street.
  • 1558 hrs – Officers investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Southville Road. The vehicle was located and the operator checked out ok.
  • 1618 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Woodbury Road residence.

Thank you for posting your police reports each week. I am amazed at the arrests of the intoxicated, suspeneded liscenences, no registration et. It is my opinion that these people are more of a threat than any others around us today. It is my opinion we should have a special “work” prison for these people because they wont stop. They could produce something that the state could sell but they would not be released. I can say this because ten years ago my family and I were headed to Firefly’s in Marlborough and we were hit by a drink driver with suspended license, no registration, 6th drunk driving offense and he was an illegal alien as well. If they can’t stop they need to be permanently removed from the privilege of living in a free and relatively safe society.
