This month, Fay School launched a weekly Farmers Market.* Now, it’s announcing a change in schedule. Early birds will have to wait an hour longer.

The Saturday morning Farmers Markets will run from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm this weekend through the end of October.

If you aren’t familiar with the market, it is hosted by the school but open to the community:

The market is open to all and will feature local produce, prepared food, and handmade goods by local vendors and Fay School faculty and staff. Join us, and bring your neighbors, as we celebrate our local farmers, delicious food, and a sustainable community!

The event is being held in Harlow Circle at Fay School (in front of the Primary School), 25 Middle Road.

More than a dozen local vendors are signed up this fall. Offerings include eggs and meat, seasonal veggies, baked goods, fruit spreads, handmade soaps, jewelry, and much more. (Offerings can depend on the day. You can check the vendor list here.)

To add to the fun, they also booked entertainment. Still coming up this fall:

  • Sept. 30 – Baypath Humane Society Pet Adoption
  • Oct. 7 – Touch a Truck (10:00-11:00 am only)
  • Oct. 14 – Fall Festival
  • Oct. 21 – Fay Musical Performances
  • Oct. 28 – Halloween Crafts and Costume Parade

Anyone interested in becoming a vendor can click here for info.

*In the spring, they held they called their “Opening Day”. But I considered that one-off afternoon session more of a “sneak peak” at what’s to come this fall.
