Last month, I shared news of The Trustees of Reservations upcoming Pumpkin Chucking event. Since most of my focus was on the pumpkins, some runners may not have noticed the 5K opportunity.
Pre-reg is required. But, it’s not too late to sign up. The event runs from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. Runner registration costs $12/member and $20/non-member.
If you’re not into running, you can still enjoy the event. Come on out and cheer on the runners for free. Then, stick around to see some squash getting squashed.
Chestnut Hill Farm staff will be flinging pumpkins using their “homemade trebuchet”.
If you’re looking to get your molding jack o’lantern flung into their compost heap, bring it along. They’ll do it for you for $5.
