  • Finn Fall Festival and Book Fair (5:30 – 7:30 pm) @ Mary Finn School, 60 Richards Rd: A night of fun for young kids and the whole family. (You don’t need to attend Finn to join the fun.) The Finn SOS fundraiser includes Carnival Games, pizza, a photo booth and more. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Scouting for Food deadline (before 9:00 am) @ your driveway: Leave your non-perishible contributions to Scouting for Food (for the Southborough Food Pantry) at the end of your driveway by 9 am. (Please check expiration dates first.) Scouts will be picking up contributions until about 12:30. (Or you can bring your donation directly to the Southborough Food Pantry at Pilgrim Church before 12:30.) For details, see dedicated post.
  • Scouting for Food sorting (9:00 am – 1:30 pm) @ Pilgrim Church: Scout volunteers will be sorting through the collected donations for the Food Pantry.
  • Fill-A-Bag Book Sale (1:30 – 4:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Friends of the Library will provide large paper grocery bags with handles that you can fill with adult, teen, and children’s fiction and non-fiction books, DVD’s and CD’s for only $10. (This only applies to items on sale in the Eaton Meeting Room that day.) Bring the kids as there will also be one free book for every child!

  • Trail Run & Pumpkin Chuck (11:00 am – 2:00 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: 20100826-library-frontA 5k trail run will be held that morning. (Pre-reg is required.) The event will end with pumpkin chucking, which anyone can watch for free. (Or, for $5, have your pumpkin tossed into the compost.) For details, see dedicated post.
  • Fay School Admission Open House (1:00 – 3:30 pm) @ Fay’s Primary School: Come learn about our dynamic program and the benefits of a private school education. For details, post.www.fayschool.org/page/Open-House.
  • Flag FOODball (2:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Trottier Middle School: Participants 10 years and up are invited to play Flag Football. Registration is required and players are asked to donate $10 per family for the Southborough Food Pantry. RSVP required. For details, see dedicated post.
