Southborough Little League will hold its 7th annual presentation of the Eric Green Sportsmanship Award on Monday.

The Eric Green Award, established in 2012 in memory of the late Eric Green, is given annually to a deserving 12 year old baseball player that best emulates the qualities that Eric exhibited during his baseball career and throughout his life.

The award presentation will follow the 6:00 pm Championship game.* At that time, the award will be presented to the young man or woman that best exemplifies “Outstanding Attitude, Sportsmanship, and Team Spirit”.

The ceremony will be held at the Mooney Field complex (at Finn School grounds).  Presentations will be made on the “Eric Green Memorial Field”, named last year in Eric’s memory.

Southborough Little League is inviting the community to join them in recognizing this year’s deserving nominees.

*The time of the presentation depends on how the game goes. Organizers expect it to happen around 7:30 pm.
