It’s time for my weekly update on what Southborough Police have been up to.
Just in time – a reader notified me of a tractor trailer caught under the commuter rail’s bridge over River Street. For longtime residents and commuters of that area, it’s not an unfamiliar sight. There have been multiple crashes with drivers ignoring the 11 foot clearance warning signs.
According to my source, today’s crash has turned into an “all day affair”. The truck needs to be unloaded before it gets pulled out. The incident is being investigated by the Southborough PD, Transit Police, and the Massachusetts State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Team. An engineer from the MBTA was also “on the scene”.

- Police Workshop on Active Armed Intruder situation (2:00 – 3:30 pm) @ Trottier Middle School: A free workshop for residents on techniques for personal safety involving an Active Armed Intruder. Officer Kevin Landry will cover situational awareness in public and private spaces, responses for dangerous situations, and advice on how to best respond immediately.
