  • Knitting Club (Senior Center Program) (1:00 – 2:00 pm) @ The Southborough Senior Center, 9 Cordaville Rd: Bi-weekly gathering of knitters working on their own creations and discussing community projects. For details, see flyer.
  • 6th-8th Grade Book Group (4:00 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: The monthly book discussion group is run by Young Adult Librarian Aileen Sanchez. They will be discussing a book selected the previous month. If you are interested in joining the group, call 508-485-5031 or email asanchez@cwmars.org.
  • Poetry Workshop (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, Main Level: At the semi-monthly sessions, Everyone is asked to bring in five copies of their original poetry for supportive feedback. If you don’t have a poem, come and share your insights. The group meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month.
  • ARHS Spring Choral Concert (7:00 pm) @ Algonquin Auditorium

  • Southboro Wellness: Hair, Skin & Nails (12:15 pm) @ Southborough Wellness, 205 Turnpike Rd: Workshop on Essential Oils. Part of the store’s free monthly series. Registration is not required.
  • 2nd-3rd Grade Book Group (4:00 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: The monthly group is led by Children’s Librarian Kim Ivers. This month’s discussion and activities will revolve around a book selected the previous month. For information or to sign your child up, email kivers@southboroughma.com or call 508-485-503.

  • Bay Circuit Trail hike (1:00 – 2:30 pm) @ meet at the Southborough Senior Center: A free program of the Trailblazers for active seniors. Please register for the event by calling 508-229-4453. Carpool to the next north section of trail. (This is one of a series of hikes on the trail for the group.) Carl Guyer will lead the about 2 mile hike. For details, see Trailblazers flyer.
  • Southborough UNscheduled (4:00 – 9:00 pm): This is an annual NON-event, organized by Southborough Youth & Family Services. Residents are encouraged to focus on time together as a family this evening. Southborough (and Northborough) public schools don’t assign homework, town sports don’t hold evening practices or games, and community organizations and town boards don’t schedule evening meetings for that date. Parents are also encouraged to come home from work in time for family dinner and to cancel or reschedule out of town activities/meetings that interfere. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Cookbook Club – Family Edition (7:00 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: In honor of Southborough UNscheduled this monthls meeting is a Family Edition. Those interested in taking part cook a different dish from this month’s selection Eat Like a Gilmore: the unofficial cookbook for fans of Gilmore Girls by Kristi Carlson. Then everyone brings in their dishes to share. (To avoid overlap, please email Marianna Sorensen at msorensen@southboroughma.com with your recipe choice.)

  • Representative Dykema Local Office Hours (8:00 am – 9:00 am) @ Red Barn Coffee (Rt 9 East), 20 Turnpike Road: Representative Dykema will be holding her quarterly office hours in town. Residents are encouraged to stop by to share concerns, questions and opinions on state issues or simply to chat over a cup of coffee. (If the time isn’t convenient for you, call the office at (617) 722-2680 or email Elizabeth.Walk@mahouse.gov to set up a personal appointment in the district or at the State House.)
  • Puzzle Club (10:30 am – 12:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: Join other patrons in piecing together an image, or tackle a puzzle by yourself. Come to the Library for a relaxing, yet stimulating time and good conversation over finely crafted puzzles. For details, see dedicated post.
